What is the name for a group of elephants?

Ok before you all e-mail and say "Herd". Yes I know it is herd but whilst looking at the small "herd" of elephants that has accumulated over the past couple of days on my table. I waswondering whether the beloved elphants collective noun should be a little more interesting. Perhaps a trumpet of elephants would be better sounding. Oooooh just done a search on "collective noun for Elephants" and apparently there is another one a "parade" but I think I will stick with trumpet.

This elephant is Called Rosemary and is soon to be living in Wales. If any of you see her off on her travels drop me a line.

Holidays have started.

Well here we are, the holidays have started. I haven't posted for two days as I have not been feeling too well. I hope it is just a Fibro flare not Swine flu but I am sure if it is flu I can deal wth it.
I did take a photo of DS1 yesterday the carrots he planted at school have been picked and they look fab. According to DS1 the lady who came to tell help them plant the carrot seeds said that they were better eaten raw.

All the Elephants for the Special people have been made. 4 Elephants for 4 special families/people.

Today is going to be crazy we have to be at Church for 11.15am and then who knows what time we are going to be back probably not till about 6 or 7pm tonight.

Off I go to start another busy day.

One more day left

One more day left until we have a nice summer break.

I have spent the entire morning trying to sort out my silly sewing machine, first it was the bobbin then it was the thread.

This afternoon did a trip to Ikea to buy new cupboards for the little boys room as DS3 really struggles to open his very sticky drawers.

Well since coming home I have finished one the freebie Elephants..This one is a Girl and she is called Fleur. Fleur is a singer. Will take a photo tomorrow hopefully when it is not raining.

2 and a bit Days till the end of school

Well I am really glad that indeed there are only 2 and a bit days till the end of school unlike normal I am posting in the evening not the morning as I had a very small lie in this morning and did not wake at 6 like normal.

Today has been another day of clearing and cleaning and I acheived something which I have never done before I got the lawnmover to work and so have cut the grass in the back garden.

On the elephant front I have cut out elephants, four to be precise and these are going to some very special people. Haven't decide on any names for these elephants, no doubt as the sewing process starts and the little guys start to taken on their own personalities it will happen and names will come to me.

I am not going to upload a photo of the cut out elephants as the special people who they are intended for might take a sneaky peak and then it won't be a surprise.

4 Days till the end of school!

Right well as it says above 4 days until the end of school. So I have decided I need to get some sort of order to this house before it gets totally trashed for 6 weeks!

Right so far I have done:-
Got up
Got Dressed
Had Breakfast
Got DS4 dressed, fed etc
Taken Children to school and seen teacher about an incident that took place yesterday.
come home.

Put DS4 back to bed for more sleep.

Decluttered :-

Front Hall
Stairs
Landing
and corridor outside bedroom's upstairs
Right now I am having a tea break and updating here!

By the time the boys had come down this morning a new elephant had arrived here!

This one is called Ianto and as you can probably see from his wild and wacky apperance. He is a bit of a rebel.

I am laying claim to this one he is about to sit on my shelf along with Scruffy! Well Scruffy would have been very lonely.

5 days till the end of school!

Well here we go the countdown till the Summer holiday's begins 5 days left.

B and I are up early this morning this is propably due to the fact that he went to bed at 6pm last night. Although having said that he didn't sleep all day yesterday which was quite wearing.

Made a new prototype elephant, This one has proper legs! He is not for giving away or selling but he is going to sit on my shelf in my workroom.
Scruffy is an old Elephant who is starting to get a little bit threadbare and worn out from all the cuddling that he has had. Now he just wants to finish his day sat on a shelf watching the world slowly pass him by remembering all the good times he has had.

Psychodelic Elephants

Right follow a very silly dicussion with my friend about the cocktail of medication, she was on due to suspected Swine Flu, and that she would be seeing Psychodelic Elephants soon.

Therefore I have indeed made her a Psychodelic Elephant.

His name is Julian and he is very talented as he can play badminton. He is in fact practising very hard for the 2012 Olympics although we are not sure as to the rules regarding Elephants competing!
