8mm Needles

1 ball of “Fontana” Scarf Knitting wool

(Bulky Weight/12ply/7wpi)

Cast on 32 stitches

Rows 1-25 stocking stitch starting with a knit row

Row 26 (Purl 2 together yarn over) to end of row.

Row 27 -32 Stocking Stitch.

Row 33 cast off.

Cut a length of the remaining wool and make a twisted cord to be threaded through the eyelets, make a knot in each end of cord then thread through the eyelets.

Put mini hot water bottle in cover then tie the cord off.

And I am back!

Wow what a long break that was with a large portion of the time not able to be connect to the internet!

Well we are in our new house and starting to get settled in. We must be I have started making stuff! Such as this great Christmas Card with a digistamp from Digisparkle

Normal Service will be resumed ASAP

Well as the title says Normal service will resume as soon as possbile.

The fact is that we are moving and it is pure chaos! Dh has a bew job so we are moving to Dorset so he can take up the position of Parish Assitant in a lovel village church!

I will post photos up when I can.

2nd Part of Busy

Well the second reason I have not been around much was the fact that every afternoon from Half term till the end of term I was in School helping to director the year 6's production of Bugsy Malone! I really enjoy helping out and teaching the kids to act.










I also had to make myself a Flapper dress

This was made out of a length of lining material that was in my possesion that was going to be got rid off!







It finished with a fantastic finale with massive amount of silly string, "custard" pies and shaving foam. Hopefully the year 6's will remember that show for a long time!

Busy Couple of weeks

Dear Readers

I am very sorry if it seemed that I had disappeared I have had a very busy couple of weeks and I am almost at the end of it!


First of all at church we haad a 24 hour worship event called "devotion" which was compeltley and uttery amazing ( but hard work for those involved)!

I did two events the first being the Mad Hatter's Crazy Praise Party! Where the whole section was devoted to being mad and silly all in the name of praising God!


Including the teapot and the dormouse!

We had a "Party Ring Tree"

And we also had the "Drink Me" bottle and "Eat Me!" Cake!

The second thing I have been doing will follow in another post tomorrow

My 15 minutes of Fame!

Well it all started on Wednesday with a phonecall from the wonderful Mrs Green saying that the BBC wanted to do an interview with someone who had food waste bins and would I like to do it as she didn't have the bins as they don't live in an area where they are used!





Me being me said "yes no problem" and then I soon had a phonecall from the BBC telling me what time they would be here the next morning! The first Interview was going to be at 6.20 AM!!!!!! The lady on the other end fo the phone said they would probably turn up at about 5.30am.

So a tidy up of the house then started, the alarm was sent and an earlier night was called for.
After a very restless night (probably worried that I would be awake in time for the next morning) we were woken with the sound of an aerial going up! DH looked out of the window to see a big van out side the kitchen window!

After a quick shower I got down stairs as quick as I could to look out of the kitchen window and see.................

A TELEVISION VAN!!!!!!!!!!

Now all this time I had thought I was being interviewed by the local radio not NATIONAL BBC TV! A quick run up the stairs to tell DH That I must have got the "wrong end of the stick" and actually I was going to be TV not Radio and the morning started.






All in all I was interviewed three times 6.20am, 7.20am and 8.20am plus they did live links outside our front door to introduce what was going to happen later in the program!

It was very interesting to be on the other side of the camera for once and of course the children were very excited to have the BBC in the house.

The boys even made a very short film.

The boys of course became the topic of conversation at school that day with lots of people saying "I saw your mum on tv"!








Unfortuantely BBC breakfast appears to one of the program that the BBC don't put up on Iplayer so as we did manage to record it on to the hard drive of the DVD player when I have put it onto dvd I will try and upload it here so that those of you you wish to watch it can!
